With four points from their first two matches, the Uganda Cranes have bolstered their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualification campaign after defeating South Sudan at Namboole Stadium this evening.

The Cranes started the game with determination, dominating possession as they sought to create chances. However, South Sudan put up a resilient defense, keeping the score level until halftime.

After the break, Head Coach Paul Put made two key substitutions: Allan Okello replaced Travis Mutyaba, and Bobosi Byaruhanga came on for Ronald Ssekiganda.
