The Uganda Cranes have been drawn into Group C for the highly anticipated Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Morocco 2025 Finals. The draw, conducted this evening in Rabat, Morocco, has placed Uganda in a challenging group alongside three-time AFCON champions Nigeria, one-time winners Tunisia, and regional rivals Tanzania, setting the stage for an East African derby.

This marks a triumphant return for the Uganda Cranes, who are making a comeback after missing the last two AFCON editions. The team’s last appearance in the prestigious tournament saw them advance past the group stage, only to be narrowly eliminated by Senegal in the quarterfinals.

The 2025 AFCON tournament is scheduled to kick off on December 21, 2025, and will run until January 18, 2026. Football fans across the continent are eagerly anticipating a thrilling and competitive event.
