In what some political players are terming to be a popularist move, as the National Unity Platform (NUP) Presidential candidate Kyagulanyi Robert Sentamu alias Bobi Wine yesterday endorsed National Resistance Movement (NRM) Koboko Municipality Member of Parliament candidate Dr. Charles Ayume.

Bobi Wine said the 2021 elections is not politics as usual as he urged them to vote for Ayume even when they belong to different political parties.

“This is about a new Uganda. It is about the values we share as a generation. And for now, Ayume stands for the values we want,” Bobi Wine said.

On the other hand, Ayume has appreciated Bobi Wine’s endorsement but he says he will stick to the NRM values because it is what he believes in.

“Kyagulanyi has the right to show his admiration towards someone. Certainly, I was nominated on the NRM. The NRM party endorsed me. I believe in the values of the NRM, so we shall continue all the way,” says Ayume.

Ayume beat Investment Minister Evelyne Anite to carry NRM flag for Koboko Municipality. Before, Anite claimed how she was the gate way to Koboko.
