Sheebah Karungi: Don’t judge us singers too harshly, be kind because we’re also human

Singer Sheebah Karungi has said people should stop judging musicians too harshly and be kind when putting their actions to the moral litmus test. This was earlier this evening as she spoke to the media.

The ‘Wankona’ hit-maker expressed sadness at the fact that people judge musicians very harshly all the time, sometimes failing to show them love and often driving them to be even worse human benings than they should be.

“We are also human, we make mistakes like anyone else,” Sheebah said. “Maybe the problem is that our mistakes are always in the public, written about and discussed on radio and caught on camera, while other people’s mistakes remain unpublicized. Otherwise, we musicians don’t necessarily do more mistakes than other people.”

“Be soft with us, show some kindness,” Sheebah implored the public.

On her dressing, she said she doesn’t see anything wrong because she doesn’t go around naked.

“In any case, I don’t dress for anyone. I dress for myself, whether I want to be in a jumper, a bikini, a mini-skirt, I dress to feel comfortable and happy.”

The singer thanked all those who show her love, and those who show other musicians love, especially those who stand up for them and defend them out there even when the musicians themselves are not present at the scene of debate.
