I&M Bank Uganda Limited is the official banking partner of the ‘2 Kings One Mic,’ comedy show that will feature two of Uganda’s top comedians- Patrick “Salvador” Idringi and Dr Hillary Okello, on one stage.

The show, slated for today- Friday, October 23, at the Kampala Serena Hotel, will bring the two comedians together on one stage for a special night of laughter and entertainment.

Known for being the top English-speaking comedians and among the few that do ‘clean’ comedy,’ the two have each built a huge following across Uganda and beyond, entertaining audiences of different generations and origins with their witty humour.

Speaking ahead of tomorrow’s event, Annette Nakiyaga- the I&M Bank Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications, highlighted that the bank’s partnership with Salvador and Dr Hillary reflects the bank’s commitment towards supporting local talent, but most importantly being deliberate about connecting with customers beyond the banking hall.

“Salvador and Dr. Hillary need no introduction. They are among the best in the country and beyond, so this is an opportunity for I&M Bank to support the arts, celebrate Uganda’s entertainment industry and be part of something our customers will genuinely enjoy,” Nakiyaga said.

Comedian Salvador, said the show will give him and Dr Hillary to showcase, first-hand, what the power of synergies in arts can deliver.

“We have been preparing for this show for months, and we are excited about what we have put together. You have probably seen some of our skits on social media, but those are just a small taste of what we have in store. This show is intended to showcase what talents are able to serve their audiences when they come together, not to battle, but deliberately to give their best,” he said.

Dr Hillary Okello, on the other hand, described the show as a unique comedy experience, with the focus firmly on delivering laughs and giving their fans a memorable evening.

The show, that will be hosted by Dr. Mitch Egwang, will be performed entirely in English and will feature a limited number of guest performers.

Janzi Band will lead the live music experience, while DJ Tony Wallace will ensure revelers keep nodding their heads, or even dance to some nice mixes all through the evening.

Tickets to the show are still on sale at Shs100k, for general sitting, but can also be purchased at Shs 80k on MTN MoMo. Table packages are going for Shs3m and Shs5m.

Other sponsors of the 2 Kings One Mic show include Uganda Waragi, SafeBoda, The Living Group, Aquafina, Pepsi, Euro Gold Refinery, and Virah Forex Bureau.
