Saturday night belonged to Kampala’s big ballers and beautiful people, and Don Julio in partnership with Guvnor, made it an unforgettable one.
Guvnor transformed into Kampala’s most coveted address for a night that featured Kampala’s entertainment gurus, led by Don Julio 1942 influencer Sheilah Gashumba- the nights’ host. The night was an expression of the way Ugandans show up for a Sheilah Gashumba ‘partee,’ with their dancing shoes ready to show the night who the boss is.
Guests strolled in on a black carpet, with cameras already hungry. The fashion was as the Gen Z’s say, giving. A neat canvas, draped in the signature colours of Don Julio 1942, served as the evening’s photo booth, pulling guests in for portraits that were as polished as the event itself.
The music, as expected, gave luxury vibes, as the DJs, together with the night’s hosts, ensured partygoers enjoyed every bit of the night. Guvnor’s in-house DJs set the music pace for the night, as the venue slowly, but steadily filled up with Kampala’s dames and high rollers.
DJ Alisha stepped in with a set that turned the dance floor into a blur of movement and chants for every banger she dropped.
The rest of the DJ lineup was quite a big deal too. DJs- Jose, FEM, Bryan, and others, took the assignment quite seriously, as they ensured that revelers stayed on their feet for the biggest part of the night.
1942 influencer Dj Lil Stunner, together with Josh MC, ensured the tempo was kept at optimum levels as they entertained the already hyped up audience.
Don Julio’s presence was felt in every corner. Waitresses weaved through the crowd serving Don Julio bottles- from Anejo to the iconic 1942.

The night featured hiphop star Fik Fameica, who took to the stage and rocked the crowd with a performance of some of his popular jams.
The party went on till the wee hours of Sunday morning, but the energy never dimmed. Guests danced to their favourite jams, and kept rolling their phones to capture the moments for the gram.
The night was proof that a Saturday Night fever with Don Julio is an affair done right.
