Kampala Queens, a Ugandan club competing in the FUFA Women Super League, has found itself at the center of attention after issuing a statement advertising the potential sale of their player, Resty Nanziri.

The club’s Chief Executive Officer, Sengendo Meddy, released a statement this morning inviting interested buyers to contact the club regarding the talented forward.

Meddy also highlighted Nanziri’s impressive achievements, including being the second top scorer in the 2022-23 FUFA Women Super League.

The motive behind this decision was to make room for new players who have recently joined the club, according to Sengendo.

However, the advertisement has sparked criticism and trolling. Social media users expressed their disapproval, labeling the move as unprofessional.

One social media user remarked, “This is a completely unprecedented situation.”

Another commenter criticized the club’s move, stating, “Such behaviour is unprofessional and should not be tolerated.”

One user humorously commented, “Our king being pushed out of the palace in such a manner ???? Is this how players are handled ??”

It’s worth noting that Kampala Queens is owned by Moses Magogo, the President of FUFA.
