Victoria University has today hosted Nigeria’s youngest billionaire Sijibomi Ogundele at the first-ever open public business lecture dubbed “Victoria University CEOs Platform.”

The event has been held at the University’s auditorium, under the theme ‘Bringing Real-Life Experience To Learners.’

While addressing learners, Sijibomi urged learners to always practice a high level of integrity if they want to succeed in whatever they do.

Sijibomi, who was the key speaker at the forum, said his rise from ‘Grass to Grace is due to Integrity and excellence. He said he has always dreamed big and also exhibited high levels of integrity.

“Integrity and excellence helped me to succeed in everything because I never came from a rich family.

Everyone has to have a big dream because dreaming big is very crucial and to follow that dream is what leads to success,” said Sijibomi, the proprietor of Sibiji Motors LTD.

He added, “Without integrity, nothing will be achieved. All the successful people have survived on integrity. Passion is also crucial in each and everyone’s journey to succeed.”

Speaking at the same forum, the University Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Lawrence Muganga, said the main objective of the platform is to help learners become more prepared for the future before they graduate and join the job market.

He said the VU is building capacity that will see them become the leading University in Uganda.

“We going to lead the way and others will follow. We are going to transform society, which is our core aim,” Muganga said.

Muganga urged learners to always find what to do even before graduating from the university as it prepares them better for the future.

Also on the Platform was motivational speaker Frank Gashumba, who emphasized that keeping time is key in the struggle for a successful life.

“Always keep time in everything. Look for anything that can add value to you. Read extensively and know that believing in yourself is also important,” Gashumba noted.
