Uganda Cranes left-back Abdul Aziz Kayondo has received a promotion to Club Deportivo Leganes’ senior team in Spain.

The former Vipers Sports Club defender made his debut with the Leganes senior squad, despite their 1-0 loss in a friendly match against Hapoel Tel Aviv FC on Monday.

Kayondo (front row, far right) stands with the senior team lineup.

Leganes currently competes in the Segunda Division, Spain’s second division of football. Kayondo was an integral part of their 2022/23 campaign, helping the team secure a 14th position out of 22 teams. Another noteworthy player from KCCA FC academy, Ibrahim Juma, also plays for the Leganes side.
