Earlier this year, Sserumaga made a surprise return to competitive football, officially rejoining Proline FC during the January transfer window. His comeback was inspired by his impressive displays with Football Classroom, a WhatsApp group-based team that featured in the 51st Stanbic Uganda Cup. Despite their early exit at the Round of 64 against FUFA Big League side Buhimba United, his performances caught the attention of Proline.

Sserumaga’s illustrious playing career saw him turn out for several top clubs, including KB Lions, SC Villa, Vipers SC, Police FC, URA FC, St. George (Ethiopia), Helsingborg (Sweden), and Rayon Sport (Rwanda).

On the international stage, he earned 34 caps for the Uganda Cranes, scoring six goals.
