Following his hard fought win in the Jinja East by elections last week, MP elect Paul Mwiru has revealed that his success was due to the people’s power.

“NRM put their hopes in police, state machinery, money, superstition and witchcraft. They undermined the people’s power’, Mwiru stated while appearing on NBS TV Morning Breeze.

The legislator also disclosed that they assembled good intelligence team that ensured no rigging was involved on the polling day.

“Collaborative evidence will help us solve this, as an organized team, we invested in intelligence, we had teams everywhere. We printed out a sheet of paper with the number of polling stations for audit & it was agreed upon. A campaign runs on intelligence,” he explained.
