Socialite Zari Hassan celebrated her 46th birthday with a glamorous evening that brought together some of Kampala’s biggest names in entertainment, fashion, business and social circles.
The celebration, held on 25 September at Kampala Marriott Hotel, attracted musicians, public figures, media personalities, creatives and close friends, turning the venue into a lively gathering of Uganda’s entertainment and lifestyle crowd.
Zari was at the centre of the evening, which featured music, food, drinks and plenty of socialising. Guests also raised a toast to the birthday girl, with Perlino providing cocktails for the celebration.
Perlino franchise owner Ivan Byamugisha said the brand is interested in working more closely with Uganda’s entertainment and lifestyle industry as it seeks to become part of the country’s growing events and social scene.
The entertainment lineup added to the mood, with Jose Chameleone, Karo, Kasita and Elijah Kitaka performing during the evening. MC Kats hosted the celebration, while Captain Michael Mukula was among the notable guests.
Fashion was another major highlight, with Zari stepping out in outfits designed by Naysa Bespoke by Lillian Kyabaki and Dyna Vence. Her look was completed by Summy Touch, who handled her makeup, and hairstylist Sean Mbajja.
Essie Events took care of the décor and overall event styling, while Pastry Quin created the birthday cake.
Much of the planning and coordination was overseen by Zari’s manager, Larry Casual, who brought together the different teams behind the celebration.
