In an era where innovation is redefining industries and creativity is shaping economies, Victoria University is boldly positioning itself at the intersection of technology and the humanities. True to its vision of preparing students for the future, the university is expanding its academic offerings to reflect the realities of a continent where many young people are increasingly earning from creativity, digital platforms, and the performance arts.

Recognizing that the arts are no longer just a passion but a viable and rewarding profession, Victoria University has rolled out a three-year Bachelor of Arts in Music and Dance degree programme. The new programme is designed to equip students with both artistic mastery and entrepreneurial skills, empowering them to turn their talents into sustainable careers.

University officials say the introduction of the Music and Dance degree responds to the growing creative economy across Africa, where musicians, dancers, content creators, and performers are building global audiences through digital media and live productions. The programme blends practical training, theory, and industry exposure to ensure graduates are competitive both locally and internationally.

Students enrolled in the Bachelor of Arts in Music and Dance can undertake both physical and online classes, making it accessible to learners with varying schedules and geographical locations. This hybrid model reflects the institution’s broader commitment to innovation and inclusivity in higher education.

Beyond the arts, the university continues to embrace technology as a core pillar of its academic strategy. All admitted students receive introductory training in Artificial Intelligence (AI), ensuring they are equipped with foundational digital skills regardless of their chosen field of study. By integrating AI awareness into every programme, Victoria University is nurturing graduates who can navigate and thrive in a rapidly evolving digital world.

The university’s March/April intake is currently open, with applications invited for certificate, diploma, undergraduate, and postgraduate programmes. With modern facilities, flexible learning options, and a strong focus on employability, Victoria University continues to attract students seeking quality, career-oriented education.

As the creative and digital economies expand across the continent, Victoria University’s balanced investment in technology and the humanities signals a forward-thinking approach to higher education. By recognizing the arts as both a passion and a profession, the institution is shaping graduates who are not only skilled but also adaptable, innovative, and ready to lead in the industries of tomorrow.

Prospective students are encouraged to apply early to secure their place in these highly anticipated programmes for the March/April intake.
